Join us to hear Ian Bartoszek, talk about the growing population of invasive Burmese pythons in Southwest Florida, especially Collier County, and the likely impact to our native wildlife.

Burmese pythons (Python bivittatus) were first brought to Florida as exotic pets. It is believed they started reproducing in the wild in the 1980s. Since then, Burmese pythons have increased in numbers to tens of thousands and have decimated native wildlife, especially small and medium-sized mammals.

Listen to Kodiak's tales of close encounters with pythons, population trends and management options.
